- Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
This is 500 kilometres away from the capital town of Guwahati and it is still a hidden beauty of the state. It includes the beautiful Shonga-Tsar Lake and the beauty of Eastern Himalayas. The lake was formed by an earthquake. There is one more Lake Pangeng Teng Tso which will catch one’s imagination. This could be a better place for those people who are willing to go for adventurous sports like trekking and climbing.
This is one of the most interesting and more relaxing hill stations of India, located in Maharashtra. Places of interest will be Kitchakdari and Shakkar lakes. There is also a tiger sanctuary located at this hill station and is effective in providing glimpse of nature. It is 750 kilometres from Mumbai and there are hotels available here for accommodation.
- Yelagiri, Tamil Nadu
This is considered as the much less frequented hill station than Ooty and Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. Yelagiri doesn’t have much tourism push but yet it attracts tourists. Although, it is a peaceful place with attractive scenery one may not expect the kind of beauty that will grip him in the gut like in the Himalayas. There is one artificial Lake Punganoor where tourists can do boating as well.
